Entering Motherhood
As your family grows, so do you.
Trying to Conceive (TTC). The journey to parenthood isn't always straightforward. For many individuals and couples, trying to conceive can bring a mix of hope, uncertainty, and emotional challenges. Whether you are navigating negative pregnancy tests, fertility treatments, or the stress and uncertainty of infertility, this season can bring grief, disappointment, and a profound sense of lost control. It can also impact your relationship, your sense of self, and the way you experience others as their families grow. You may find yourself carrying emotions that feel difficult to express.
Pregnancy. Pregnancy is a time of profound change, excitement, anticipation, and sometimes unexpected fears or uncertainty. You may find yourself worrying about your baby’s health, feeling anxious about labor and delivery, adjusting to changes in your body, or navigating expectations about what pregnancy "should" feel like. It can also bring up questions about identity, relationships, and family. As you prepare to welcome your baby, you may find yourself reflecting on your own experiences growing up, models of motherhood you were exposed to, and the kind of mother you hope to be.
Postpartum & Motherhood. As you adjust to life with a new baby and grow into your role as a mother, you may experience a range of emotions—from joy and connection to overwhelm, guilt, frustration, or uncertainty. You may feel unlike yourself, struggle with balancing your own needs alongside your child's, or find yourself navigating changes in your relationship, career, and identity. It can mean redefining who you are and how you want to move through the world. It’s an opportunity to reflect on your own experiences, messages you have received about motherhood, and the kind of mother you hope to become.
