Individual Therapy
Individual therapy offers a supportive, nonjudgmental space to pause, reflect, and better understand yourself. Many people begin therapy during times of increased stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, major life transitions, or periods when they feel disconnected from themselves despite appearing successful on the outside. Therapy can be the beginning of seeing yourself and your experiences in a new way.
As a licensed clinical psychologist, my role is to help you approach your thoughts, emotions, and relationships with curiosity, uncover patterns that may no longer serve you, and support you in creating meaningful, lasting change. Together, we will explore the experiences, relationships, and beliefs that have shaped who you are today and help you develop a deeper understanding of yourself.
My work is relational and insight-oriented, exploring how your emotions, relationships, past experiences, cultural identity, and underlying motivations influence the way you move through the world. This approach can be especially helpful for individuals navigating anxiety, perfectionism, self-doubt, relationship difficulties, identity questions, or the challenges of balancing personal and professional responsibilities. I also enjoy using metaphor and humor to help us better understand your story and create new perspectives.
The relationship we build together is one of the most important parts of therapy. Meaningful change does not happen simply because someone offers advice; it happens within a relationship where you feel understood, respected, challenged, and safe enough to be your authentic self. I strive to create that kind of therapeutic relationship, grounded in trust, openness, and genuine connection.
Many of the individuals I work with choose to engage in therapy over a longer period of time. Early sessions are often focused on understanding recurring patterns, reducing distress, and gaining insight into the ways you have learned to cope. As therapy progresses, that insight becomes the foundation for making intentional changes, strengthening relationships, and building a life that feels more aligned with your values.
At the same time, therapy does not have to be long-term. Some people seek support during a specific season of life, while others are looking for help navigating a particular challenge. Together, we will regularly evaluate your goals and determine what feels most helpful for you. When the time comes to end our work, we will reflect on your growth, consolidate what you have learned, and help you move forward with greater confidence and self-understanding.
“Learn to know yourself… to search realistically and regularly the processes of your own mind and feelings.”
